Makeup Monday- Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Makeup Liquid Foundation

Happy Monday!

Today I've got swatches of Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Makeup Liquid Foundation.  I received a sample palette of 8 different shades in one of my subscription boxes.

I usually buy my foundation from high end stores such as Sephora because they will color-match me. Lack of ability to try out formula and shade has kept me from trying drugstore brand foundation, so this was a great opportunity to try it out.

To see swatches, continue reading below.

Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Makeup has a tone correcting complex, titanium dioxide sunscreen, SPF 20, and claims 12 hour breathable coverage. It is available in 8 colors and retails for $15.99 for 1 fl oz, or 30 mL.

For reference, I wear Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in a 2.0, Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm in Light, and Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer in Pink Porcelain 1.

I am Mexican, Polish, and Irish (aka a trio of ethnic jokes), and don't go outside too much. I used to tan, but now the Irish part is showing and I burn instead. So I'm pretty pale.

For simplicities sake, I have labeled the swatches with their numbers, but their names are as follows:

10- Classic Ivory
20- Natural Ivory
30- Buff
40- Nude
50- Soft Beige
60- Natural Beige
70- Fresh Beige
90- Warm Beige

Direct Light, unblended
Lightbox, no flash, unblended
Lightbox, with flash, unblended
Lightbox, no flash, blended
Lightbox, with flash, blended
This foundation blended surprisingly easily. I decided to try out Classic Ivory #10 on my face, and it was quite a good match. It covered the redness I have on my cheeks, was lightweight, and effortlessly blended out. It was easily layered for more complete coverage.

My favorite part of this foundation was the sunscreen. I live in a sunny climate, so if I'm going to spend any time outside, I definitely need sun protection. An added bonus was that it didn't feel like a foundation with sunscreen in it.

I would recommend trying this sunscreen if you're looking for something lightweight, blendable, and easily accessible.

What is your favorite foundation? Have you tried any products from the Neutrogena Long Wear Make Up line? Let me know in the comments below, and don't forget to follow for more Makeup Monday posts!

    1. I would say 10, 40, and 60 have the most yellow undertones.
